Bluefin Tuna Fishing Charters Nz

Join us for the 2009 bluefin tuna season. We fish the West Coast of New Zealand from July to September basing our vessel from the port of Westport.

We helped pioneer the fishery back in 2004 and have had an impressive record of catching record size fish.

2006 1st female angler to land a bluefin 240kg (world record not claimed and still the biggest landed by a female angler)
Heaviest fish for season. 321kg world record not claimed
2008 Heaviest fish for season 325kg equal to current world record.

We specailise in 25 hr trips but can stay out longer by request, all trips are fully catered, with all fishing gear provided..there are no hidden costs and we will clean any fish landed at no extra charge to you.

Costs

We work on an hourly rate of $225 all inclusive (not liquor). Bookings will be confirmed on the receipt of a $1000 deposit, this will be fully refunded in the event the charter is cancelled because of weather or breakdown. All efforts will be made to get you fishing.

Tag and Release

We strongly support tag and release and will only allow a maximum of 1 fished landed per trip. This is subject to the availability of amature quota.
